The Risk Adjustment Coding (RAC) Microcredential is for individuals who conduct risk adjustment coding as part of their role. This microcredential is intended for individuals working in settings such as surgical hospitals, physician offices, medical administrative services, patient accounting, outpatient care centers, insurance carriers, technology consulting services, and management consulting.

About the Assessment

Assessments are administered through our partner vendor, Questionmark, via an internet-based testing portal available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari.)

Candidates have three hours to complete the assessment, which contains 65 questions: 50 scored and 15 unscored. Unscored questions gather performance data and do not affect the candidate's score. Question types may include matching, multiple-choice, multiple-select, true/false, select-a-blank, pull-down lists, and ranking, with some scenarios presented as images to assess practical skills.
